The second-generation AirPods Pro have a battery life that falls slightly short of the stated six hours. AirPods Pro vs. AirPods Max

In our battery life tests, the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) lasted 5 hours, 43 minutes with ANC on, falling just short of Apple’s stated 6-hour battery life when listening to steady audio playback peaking at 75dB(SPL).

The charging case extends the life of the earphones to 24 hours of listening time or 19 hours and 30 minutes of speaking time.

With active noise cancellation turned on, the Apple AirPods Max last nearly 21 hours. Since the AirPods Max don’t have an off switch, they constantly consume power even when they aren’t in use. If you put it in its case, it will go into low power mode, but it will still use some power.

The AirPods Max’s battery drain problem and the AirPods Pro’s short battery life aren’t exactly eco-friendly. The lifespan of a battery diminishes with each charge cycle.

Use headphones with a longer battery life or go wired if you care about reducing battery e-waste. Many eco-warriors may not be interested in either of these choices.

While the Apple AirPods Max’s built-in microphone excels when paired with other Apple devices, it sometimes falters when utilized with non-Apple gadgets.
